My Ph.D. thesis has officially been accepted, which means that I am probably going to remain in Scotland for at least two more years.  With that very likely future I plan on investing a little more while I'm here.  It would be nice to purchase a new computer (thinking of this upgrade...).  Another investment would be less focused on my academics ( Read more... )

I'm about to go on the last sprint before the marathon.  A week of camping around California, in some of my favorite places in the world.  After I come back I only have three-and-a-half weeks before I leave for Boston/NYC for five days, then from there to Iceland, London, and eventually my new home, St Andrews.  It's beginning to hit me now.  Here' ( Read more... )
